Project summary
Channel Black is a storytelling and media training program created and facilitated by Shanelle Matthews that develops the strategy, intervention, and spokesperson skills of everyday social movement leaders. The 2024 training aimed to advance reproductive justice work by providing technical assistance to leaders championing abortion on the ballot.
My role
Scheduled and facilitated project meetings
Acted in support of the on-site training facilitators and the asynchronous training recordings
Managed attendee and vendor logistics including travel, payments, and other training inquiries
Produced participant communications, sharing updates from the initial cohort invitation through the training recap
