GET FREE: A BLACK FEMINIST REUNION

ProJect Summary

The 1973 National Black Women’s Organization conference paved a path toward unapologetic Black feminist organizing. 50 years later, Black Feminist Future invited Black feminists to a reunion in Baltimore for a weekend of organizing, learning, and strategizing to face contemporary political challenges together.

The convening welcomed more than 400 attendees (300 in-person and 100 virtually) for a weekend filled with plenaries, keynotes, and workshops centering interests and needs of Black women, girls, and gender-expansive people.
